Covering a total area of 3,337 sq. kilometers, Beihai is a waterfront garden city facing the Beibu Gulf in South China. It's home to people of various ethnic groups, including the Han and Zhuang etc. Beihai abounds in marine resources and is listed as one of China's top six fishing grounds. The main tourist attractions in Beihai include: Beihai Silver Beach National Tourism and Holiday Resort, Beihai Dugong National Nature Reserve, the Ruins of Ancient Bailong Pearl City, the Hepu Protected Area of Han Dynasty Graves and plenty more other sites. Featuring seas, beaches, islands, lakes, forests, mountains, ancient relics and humanistic culture, Beihai is ranked China’s top tourist city.
